From Corporate to Coaching: Why I Took the Leap
I left the corporate world because I knew I was good at what I did—and, honestly, because some amazing people in my life kept telling me, “You can do this, too.”
So, I did.
Over the past five years, I’ve worked hard to build Coaching with LB, my coaching business for small business owners. I’ve paid off my grad school loans, and I’m this close to finishing payments on my “new-to-me” 2014 Honda Accord (bought in 2022 while I was still digging out of debt and laying the foundation for my business). And yes—it’s still going strong in 2024.
Here’s what I know for sure:
I’m deeply committed to my relationship with Jesus Christ, to my marriage, and to using the skills I’ve honed over the years to help others—while continuing to grow myself.
What I’ve learned is this: success isn’t a solo sport.
It takes time, patience, and a willingness to lean on others. The most meaningful growth I’ve experienced—personally and professionally—has come through relationships, not isolation.
If you’re a fellow small business owner, I want to remind you: growth happens in connection. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Let people in. Celebrate your wins (and your weirdness). Embrace the messy parts of the journey.
I’d love to be a part of your journey—cheering you on and supporting you as you build the business and life you want.
